Nonbinary Names

Nonbinary names identify as neither male nor female but are free of gender identity. There is some crossover between unisex and gender-neutral names and nonbinary names, but names in the nonbinary group are not theoretically-unisex names really used primarily for one gender or another, or boy names now used for girls or vice versa. Rather, nonbinary names do not identity with either gender. Note that our name pages are gendered so we can publish different popularity statistics and sometimes origins and meanings for the same name when used for baby girls or baby boys. But that does not mean we consider these names either girl names or boy names, but truly nonbinary.
